Week 4 Assignment

Assignment Description

For this assignment you must take all of the specifications provided below and create a visually pleasing poster. You must represent each of the specifications in your design, and in the end the poster should convey one single, cohesive message to your audience.

 

Specifications
1. Size: 12″ x 18″ or 18” x 12”
2. Color: Black and one other color

3. You must use a square

4. You must use the first letter of your first and last name as design elements

5. You must use a photograph (remember the color constraints – grayscale or duotone is an option)

6. You must draw something using the pen tool

7. You must use a quote from your favorite book or article

8. You must use texture in some way

9. You must use something that someone else designed for you

10. You must communicate one cohesive message through the poster

 

 

 

Process
Begin to collect your elements from the specifications. Plan out your poster; you may want to create some sketches before beginning on the computer.

 

You need to submit your assignment with a detailed design description that explains how you incorporated each of the specifications.

 

Due by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15:
Jpg rough draft of your poster design. You may create this design in Illustrator or Indesign. Be sure to save your native file, then save a copy for your jpg file. Before saving your jpg file, turn all fonts to outlines. Save it this way only for the jpg file. Be sure to include your detailed design description.
